Brigid was with me, acting as a spiritual Doula during each of my labors. She is the Matron Goddess of Poetry, Smithing, Birth and Midwifery. As part of the Celtic pantheon, she is honored at Imbolc, which celebrates the return of the Sun (Feb 1st or 2nd, depending on the tradition).
Call on Brigid for strength and protection during labor and birth – she’ll never leave your side (she didn’t leave mine :)).
In addition to providing support during birth, Brigid can help with settling in at home with your new little one (she’s also a Hearth Goddess). You can call on her to find balance during your postpartum stage – she reminds us that being strong doesn’t mean that you have to do everything yourself! Ask for help when you need it.
Brigid is also a Goddess of fire, born at daybreak. Crystals that work well with her energies are Fire Agate, Carnelian and Moss Agate.
A good essential oil blend that draws upon Brigid’s strength (while promoting focus) is a combo of Frankincense, Wild Orange and Peppermint. ❤
Brightest Blessings, -Cory, CCH
